Joseph Hager is a pro drummer in every sense of the word and he provides that tight-pocket rhythm which is the backbone for the meat-on-the-bone tempos of the Burnsville Band. His stellar work can be heard on more than 25 studio recordings from various bands in the styles of blues, rock, jazz, R&B, Americana, bluegrass, folk, country, Zydeco,. and even Latin. Joey has been a drummer for twenty years. His dynamic, musical versatility has kept him behind the kit and his giggin' calendar full with a half dozen bands at a time! The upstate New York native studied with the late jazz great Tony Monforte early on before embarking on his musical journey.
Gigging, touring and recording with whoever he can has led him on a traveling path with stops in the New York City scene, the casino circuit in Las Vegas, and eventually where he currently resides, in Southern California. He continues to be an in-demand player due to his remarkable "chameleon-like" adaptation to any musical genre including Americana, blues, bluegrass, folk, country, jazz, R&B, rock and Zydeco.
