The Burnsville Band is a smokin’ Blues band based out of San Diego. The band has gained local popularity on the fast track since forming in 2006, playing in top clubs and events in San Diego including an ongoing regular stint as the Saturday night ‘house band’ at the Houes of Blues.
Steve Burns, vocalist and lead guitarist, has kicked this band into high gear evolving it now into a tightly oiled machine featuring some of the finest talent San Diego has to offer. Steve doesn’t just play the Blues, he has a feeling for them. Watching him wrangle the guitar is a show unto itself.
Scottie ‘Mad Dog’ Blinn on lead guitar and vocals, is from California and is well known for his multi-award winning band the Mississippi Mudsharks, a Blues/Grease Punk trio which has toured the States and Europe from the mid 90’s through today and shared bills with the likes of Dick Dale, Willie Nelson, Buddy Guy, George Clinton &The P-Funk All Stars, and many more.
Charmaine Tam on Bass, from Chicago, has been with several well-known local bands including two award-winning bands...West of Memphis and Smokin Knights. Her unique approach on the bass is solid and grooving, and her knowledge of the Blues has made her highly sought after by some of the best in San Diego.
Joseph Hager, from New York, studied with the late jazz great Tony Monforte. A stellar percussionist, Joseph plays in several local bands in the styles of blues, rock, jazz, R&B, Americana, bluegrass, folk, country, Zydeco, and Latin. His ability to cross genres is key in the Burnsville Bands ability to cover many different feels throughout a show.
It's never the same show for the Burnsville Band as they are constantly raising the bar on musicianship, adding new material and keeping it fun and fresh. With that in mind they frequently have special guests, both local and wellknown artists, invited to share the stage. You never know who will be stopping by and it's always a good time.

I was in town on business with some buddies and we stopped by the House of Blues in SD. You guys were getting ready to play. We stayed for a couple of hours and really enjoyed it. I lean more toward country and one of the guys leans more toward rock. We both really liked your music. The rock-lovin` guy plays a bass and we both really enjoyed Charmaine. The drummer wasn't your normal guy, but he was great and seemed to really enjoy being up there on stage. I am going to sea in a few days, but we want to hunt you guys down at HOB when we get back.

Last Night we we're at the KIFM 98.1 Smooth Jazz Gaslamp Festival. My wife and I walked 5 blocks to the House of Blues to see you guys, as you were in the program schedule. We didn't know what to expect, we hadn't heard of The Burnsville Band, but you guys were so great we couldn't leave. We actually called some friends to come up and join us which they did, they also agreed, you guys are fantastic, great musicians and way more entertaining! Great to find you. Thanks for the great night of music!

Just listened to your CD and the quality knocked my socks off. The piano, the vocals, the guitar were all stellar. They came together so beautifully, it just kicks ass! This is a solid gold CD.
