Steven C. Burns – BAND LEADER, SONGWRITER, GUITAR, VOCALS
Steve Burns has been playing guitar for more than 35 years. He has always wanted to make music his main gig, but has had many detours which are called life. Now it is his time and he is focusing on his music which is not limited to electric guitar, but also spans to acoustic, bass, and slide guitar.
Steve's guitar licks are more fluid, ripping and soulful than ever before. This band has evolved to become something he is proud of and he is grateful for all the enthusiam, sacrafice and dedication of his brothers, Joe Bernal, Dave Seely, Michael McGinty, and Joey Hagar. The Burnsville Band is taking on the local blues scene, making some heads turn and gaining recognition as one of the great local up-and-coming bands.
Steve is a BITS Leader and participates in a several Blues In The Schools performances each month through BLUSD. Steve also serves on the board of BLUSD (Blues Lovers United of San Diego) and donates his time each month towards local blues' fundraisers. BLUSD is a non-profit organization that runs a very successful BITS (Blues in the Schools) program that exposes 1000's of local elementary school children to a live Blues performance to teach about the Blues as an art form and an important part of American History.
